Personal Weekly Devotion
Welcome to the Proud Christian Challenge! This isn’t simply a one-and-done challenge but a daily choice to be intentional about the mission Jesus has set upon us!
Day 1: Why are you doing this?
Scripture: Scripture: Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…”
Reflection:
Why are you taking on this challenge? If you are bolder with the gospel, how could that impact your workplace, community, and family?
Day 2: Are You Ready?
“But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for theHope that is in you: yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that,When you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.”- 1 Peter 3:14-15

If someone asks you about the shirt you are wearing, what answer will you be prepared to give?
Day 3: Wear that shirt & Let your light shine
Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they maySee your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Reflection:
Before heading out the door, how will wearing your shirt and being on a mission change the way you interact with people today?
When you get home, what opportunities did you have today to share the reason for your Hope?
Day 4: Why are you doing this?
Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
Reflection:
Yesterday, you purposely wore a shirt to express your faith. You probably had some conversations about that. How can you purposefully act today that might spark some of those same conversations, even if you aren’t wearing your shirt?
