Position Reporting:

This position is part of Sunday Cool – Admin Department reporting to the VP/General Manager

Work Schedule:  

This is a full time, hourly position, that will be based out of our main location, located at 510 E Alfred St, Tavares, FL 32778. Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm [40 hours/week].  

Overtime may be required based on workload and production demands. This position will be likely to have overtime or weekend work during the peak of busy season, running May-July.

Compensation:

This is a full-time, salary (exempt) position with an annual salary of $70,000 based on experience and skills.

As the HR Manager, you’ll partner closely with the VP/General Manager to support, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures across Sunday Cool. From recruitment and onboarding to benefits administration, compliance, and culture-building, you’ll help keep our HR operations in tune. You’ll handle the day-to-day rhythm of HR — employee files, basic benefits questions, time clock corrections, and payroll prep — while also supporting strategic projects that shape a workplace culture that’s the heart and soul of our business.

  • Recruitment tasks, including posting jobs, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
  • Champion the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork, collecting I‑9 documentation, and helping facilitate new hire onboarding
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee files, records, and HR documentation.
  • Assist with employee benefits programs (health insurance, vacation, expenses, and other personnel packages), helping employees with basic questions and routing complex matters to the VP/General Manager
  • Provide general HR support to employees, answering routine questions and directing them to appropriate resources
  • Help maintain internal compliance with company policies and procedures, and support monitoring of applicable HR federal and state requirements.
  • Assist with employee relations documentation and investigations under the guidance of the VP/General Manager
  • Support time clock review — flagging and helping correct errors with managers
  • Preparing and facilitating bi-weekly payroll for processing
  • Own employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture‑building activities.
  • Prepare bi-weekly Worker’s Compensation and 401K reporting
  • Support the administration of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and respond to Unemployment claims with the Department of Revenue under the guidance of the VP/General Manager
  • Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team engagement.
  • Build positive working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers/partners.
  • Handle confidential information and sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Actively participate in culture initiatives, employee events, and day-to-day support of the Sunday Cool team.
  • Lead by example as it relates to company CORE values
  • Support HR audits, reporting, and administrative projects as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+  years of full desk HR or relevant experience
  • Must be a strong team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed to support employees and department needs
  • Comfortable being out on the floor, engaging with team members, and building positive relationships across all departments
  • Demonstrates a proactive, service‑oriented mindset and a willingness to help others without being asked
  • Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills with an ethical mindset.
  • Adept at problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through and time‑management skills.
  • Familiar with HR software and working knowledge of MS Suite (Experience with ADP a plus)
  • Ability to work in a Mac Environment
