Position Reporting:
This position is part of Sunday Cool – Operation’s Department reporting to the Operation’s Director
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday: 7AM-3:30PM [40 hours/week].
Overtime may be required based on workload. This position will be likely to have overtime or weekend
work during the peak of busy season, running May-July.
Compensation:
This is an exempt – salary position offering an annual salary based on experience, skills,
and qualifications.
Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to:
The Facilities Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and aesthetic quality of our
buildings, grounds, and equipment. This individual will lead the Facilities department, setting goals,
managing resources, and implementing strategies that support both our culture and operational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the day-day management and oversight of operations, maintenance, repair, modifications, minor renovations, utility systems and equipment, environmental services, grounds, and other components for Sunday Cool.
- Provide leadership and oversight to the facilities team, including maintenance, custodial, and grounds personnel
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members are equipped to meet operational goals
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the department
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and training initiatives to support staff development
- Perform interior and exterior building audits to ensure the day-to-day cleanliness of the facility exterior, customer areas, office spaces and restrooms; ensuring all are maintained and properly stocked.
- Oversee the execution of delegated maintenance and cleaning tasks to other departments and confer with managers and staff to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with operations.
- Maintain a secure work environment for employees, visitors, and customers by monitoring site security protocols and ensuring that all safety/security systems are functioning properly (e.g., the maintenance of security cameras, door codes, and establishment of security action plans).
- Perform first-line maintenance and repair, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, adjustment, and calibration of facility equipment to ensure safe, operable condition and/or arrange for replacement/upgrades if they cannot be performed in-house.
- Maintain successful working relationships with contractors and yard service providers, providing on-site direction as needed, and manage the overall upkeep of the grounds and exteriors, including the parking lot, site amenities, landscaping, and exterior building maintenance.
- Plan and coordinate the repair, upgrade, and installation of printing machines, tools, and other facility equipment to always ensure efficient operation.
- Develop and implement strategies to make the best use of space and resources to maximize facility output and optimize on-site operations to meet the needs of our growing business (e.g., office builds/expansions, move coordination, employee capacity, and sustainability initiatives).
- Manage and oversee compliance with all applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA and other federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare the property and equipment for inclement weather conditions (hurricanes, tornados, severe thunderstorms), as well as facilitating re-opening after weather.
- Assist upper management in the preparation and administration of the facility maintenance budget; submit budget recommendations; monitor expenditures; prepare cost estimates; submit justifications for equipment.
- Create and maintain a Master Site Plan.
- Oversee the purchasing and inventory of housekeeping and cleaning supplies.
- Collaborate in future location build outs.
- Responsible for ensuring upkeep and maintenance of company vehicles.
- Establish and maintain vendor/supplier relationships in support of facility and related administrative activities.
- Maintain accurate paper and electronic records for operations including supply inventories, reports, mechanical equipment, purchase orders, warranties, contracts, operating instructions and other pertinent facility documents.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical operations
- Experience with preventive maintenance and facility inspections
- Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards (e.g., OSHA compliance)
- Skilled in coordinating repairs, renovations, and equipment installations
Leadership & Operational Management
- Proven ability to lead and develop a facilities team, including maintenance and custodial staff
- Experience managing vendor relationships, service contracts, and procurement of supplies
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee facility upgrades and expansions
- Budgeting and cost-control experience for facilities operations and capital projects
Administrative & Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments and with external partners
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management or building operations
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, HVAC, or Facility Management Professional (FMP) are a plus
- Valid driver’s license and ability to respond to after-hours emergencies if needed
Physical Requirements:
Physical demands range from conducting frequent inspections and surveys for prolonged
periods of walking, standing, reaching and bending to handling and/or assisting in emergency
situations that may involve strenuous activity.

During the first 90 days we will be equipping you with the necessary resources and training you specifically for the above position. Sunday Cool has a 90-day probationary period for all new employees, which includes a 30, 60 & 90-day feedback meeting with your direct leadership team to gain helpful insight, glean new perspectives, discuss positive performance, and address any areas needing improvement. Before the conclusion of your probationary period, you will be tested on the Art Department-provided handbook, policies and procedures, as well as products to qualify you. All staff artists are required to pass with a 95% or above to qualify as an employee of Sunday Cool. Sunday Cool, LLC reserves the right to terminate the employment of any employee at any time without notice and without payment in lieu of notice, subject to the laws of the State of Florida.
We pay biweekly (Every other week) on Fridays. Pay is based on eighty standard hours per pay period and Sunday Cool has 26 pay periods/year.
