Position Reporting: Part of the Sunday Cool Executive Team, reporting to the VP

 

Work Schedule:  

This is a full‑time, exempt executive leadership position. The role operates on a results‑driven schedule, requiring the flexibility to adjust hours based on organizational needs, leadership priorities, and key initiatives. While a general Monday–Friday cadence is typical, this position may require early mornings, occasional evenings, or periodic on‑site presence to support critical meetings, team alignment, or time‑sensitive projects.

 

Leaders in this role are expected to maintain consistent availability, uphold strong communication rhythms, and ensure follow‑through on commitments, regardless of fluctuating daily demands. The schedule is designed to support strategic oversight, cross‑department collaboration, and high‑impact decision‑making. On-site office hours: Monday – Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM [40hours/week] with expectation of extended hours during busy season (May-July).  

Compensation:  

This is a full‑time, exempt position with an annual salary of $120,000; compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

 

Areas of Responsibility

Strategic Ownership:

  • Brand strategy, positioning, and narrative — you define how Sunday Cool shows up in the world
  • Marketing vision and annual roadmap tied directly to revenue growth targets
  • Budget ownership with full ROI accountability
  • High-level campaign architecture — you design the plays, not just approve them

Content Department Oversight:

  • Set the content vision, voice standards, and editorial direction for all Sunday Cool content
  • Oversee the content team including Ninjas AreButterflies, short-form video, podcasts, and social media
  • Own the content calendar and ensure every pieceserves a strategic purpose — not just filling a schedule
  • Raise the quality bar on all content output and protect the Sunday Cool voice
  • Coach the content team to think like marketers, not just creators — every piece should move a needle

Revenue Alignment:

  • Tight partnership with Sales leadership on pipeline, lead quality, and conversion
  • Marketing-to-sales handoff process design and accountability
  • KPI framework: pipeline contribution, CAC(customer acquisition cost), LTV (lifetime value), conversion rates, campaignROI
  • Help drive Sunday Cool’s growth beyond $20Mthrough strategic, measurable marketing

Team Leadership:

  • Direct management of Marketing Manager, Content Department, and alignment with two Sales Leads
  • Coaching and developing less-experiencedmarketers and content creators into strategic thinkers
  • Setting quality standards — you are the filterbetween mediocre and remarkable
  • Building a culture of ownership where peoplebring ideas, not just execute tasks

  • Day-to-day content production and publishing
  • Social media execution and community management
  • Graphic design production (campaign-focused)
  • Tactical campaign management and scheduling
  • Data reporting build-out (withoperations/analytics support)

Skills and Requirements:

  • 5-10 years in Marketing with progressive leadership responsibility
  • Proven track record building marketing strategy tied to measurable revenue outcomes
  • Experience overseeing content strategy and productionacross multiple channels (video, podcast, social, email)
  • Experience managing and developing a team (even asmall one)
  • Cross-functional experience working directly withsales teams
  • Strong portfolio of brand work, campaigns, and contentstrategy you can walk us through
  • Experience in faith-based, ministry, or purpose-driven organization is a plus but not required
  • Capable ofworking in a Mac environment
  • Screenprinting knowledge a plus
