Position Reporting:
This position is part of Sunday Cool - Operations Department, reporting to the Operations Manager
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm [40 hours/week].
Overtime may be required based on workload and production demands. This position will be likely to have overtime or weekend work during the peak of busy season, running May-July.
Compensation:
Full-time position: $16/hour
Areas of Responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Leadership & Team Support
- Lead daily operations within the reclaim department, ensuring workflow consistency and efficiency
- Provide guidance, training, and support to reclaim staff
- Fill in for team roles as needed during absences or high-demand periods
- Act as the primary point of communication between Reclaim, Pre-Press, and Production teams
Workflow & Process Management
This position requires the employee to stand for extended periods of time in a non-climate-controlled work area. The employee must be able to maneuver around printing equipment, narrow aisles, and lift up to 50 pounds repetitively. The position also requires the employee to work in a wet environment, including working with water-based inks, plastisol inks, water, pressure washers and cleaners (PPE is provided as needed).
Technical Expertise
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment for both Reclaim and Pre-Press areas
- Ensure all reclaim procedures are followed according to company standards
- Monitor workflow to prevent bottlenecks and ensure timely turnaround of screens
- Identify inefficiencies and collaborate with supervisors/managers to implement improvements
- Uphold and maintain baseline tolerances for:
- Screens reclaimed
- BASELINE MINIMUM: 14 racks in 8 hours
- BASELINE MINIMUM: All screens deinked
- Squeegee and Flood bars returned to press
Equipment & Inventory Management
- Strong understanding of screen printing reclaim processes and equipment
- Previous experience in reclaim or pre-press (lead or senior-level experience preferred)
- Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively across departments
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environmentPhysical Requirements:
Reporting & Accountability
- Maintain above-average knowledge of reclaim processes, chemicals, and equipment
- Ensure proper use and handling of:
- Plastisol and water-based reclaim chemicals
- Scrubs and cleaning agents
- Troubleshoot reclaim issues and provide solutions to maintain production flow
Skills and Requirements:
- Provide daily updates to the direct supervisor/manager, including:
- Total number of screens cleaned
- Number of broken or damaged screens
- Mesh and frame condition/issues
- Screens returned to reclaim from Pre-Press
- Squeegees and floodbars returned from production teams
- General housekeeping, maintenance and cleaning
Physical Requirements:
- Oversee upkeep and organization of:
- Squeegees and floodbars
- Chemicals and cleaning supplies
- Coordinate with Facilities to maintain and service:
- Pressure washer
- BlueWater machine
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs proactively

During the first 90 days we will be equipping you with the necessary resources and training you specifically for the above position. Sunday Cool has a 90-day probationary period for all new employees, which includes a 30, 60 & 90-day feedback meeting with your direct leadership team to gain helpful insight, glean new perspectives, discuss positive performance, and address any areas needing improvement. Before the conclusion of your probationary period, you will be tested on the Art Department-provided handbook, policies and procedures, as well as products to qualify you. All staff artists are required to pass with a 95% or above to qualify as an employee of Sunday Cool. Sunday Cool, LLC reserves the right to terminate the employment of any employee at any time without notice and without payment in lieu of notice, subject to the laws of the State of Florida.
We pay biweekly (Every other week) on Fridays. Pay is based on eighty standard hours per pay period and Sunday Cool has 26 pay periods/year.
Sunday Cool is a drug-free workplace. The company reserves the right to conduct drug testing on all employees. In the event of a workplace accident the impacted employee will be required to be tested for drugs.
