Position Reporting:
This position is part of Sunday Cool – Executive Leadership Team reporting to the President.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm [40 hours/week].
Overtime may be required based on workload and production demands. This position will be likely to have overtime or weekend work during the peak of busy season, running May-July.
Compensation:
The compensation for the Director – Sales and Marketing is an annual salary of $110,000-$125,000 dependent on experience

The Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals and expand market presence. The Director will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies and products for the organization. This role involves managing our Sales Team, Marketing Team, fostering customer relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences.
- Direct and implement the organizations advertising and promotional activities.
- Identify new market segments that will benefit from company products.
- Prepare effective advertising campaigns based on market research.
- Maintain knowledge on emerging products and services.
- Develop and execute the company's sales strategies and objectives in alignment with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Content Department to uncover insights and strategies to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies for new and existing products, internally and externally
- Oversee and grow the marketing department, consistently identifying revenue opportunities within our established client base and managing consistent growth by securing new accounts
- Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for marketing team.
- Lead and manage the sales/marketing teams, including recruitment, training, goal setting, and performance evaluation.
- Create and implement a comprehensive sales plan to target new customers and markets while maximizing revenue from existing accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and adaptation.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners to enhance business partnerships and drive sales.
- Set sales targets and quotas for the sales team and provide regular guidance and motivation to achieve and exceed targets.
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop effective promotional campaigns and sales materials that resonate with target audiences.
- Analyze sales data and metrics to generate actionable insights for continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
- Manage the sales forecasting process, ensuring accurate projections for inventory planning and production.
- Conduct regular sales meetings to review performance, address challenges, and implement strategies for improvement.
- Negotiate and close deals with key clients and large accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both parties.
- Development and maintain sales budgets, expenses, and profitability, adjusting strategies as needed to meet financial objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production and art, to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and customer demands to drive innovation and stay ahead of competitors.
- Provide regular reports and updates toExecutive Team on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic recommendations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven track record of successful sales management, preferably in the apparel industry.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of marketing automations and the marketing industry
- Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices with the ability to expand creatively
- In-depth understanding of the church industry, market trends, and customer preferences. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with apparel manufacturing processes, materials, and production timelines.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and lead a sales team.
- Experience in setting and achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, team members, and upper management.
- Strong negotiation skills to close deals and establish partnerships.
- Proficiency in market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of competitors.
- Ability to adapt strategies based on changing market conditions.
- Experience with Salesforce and sales analytics tools to track and evaluate sales performance.
- Utilize data insights to develop strategies for improving sales processes and outcomes.
- Collaborative mindset to work closely with marketing, design, and production teams to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

During the first 90 days we will be equipping you with the necessary resources and training you specifically for the above position. Sunday Cool has a 90-day probationary period for all new employees, which includes a 30, 60 & 90-day feedback meeting with your direct leadership team to gain helpful insight, glean new perspectives, discuss positive performance, and address any areas needing improvement. Before the conclusion of your probationary period, you will be tested on the Art Department-provided handbook, policies and procedures, as well as products to qualify you. All staff artists are required to pass with a 95% or above to qualify as an employee of Sunday Cool. Sunday Cool, LLC reserves the right to terminate the employment of any employee at any time without notice and without payment in lieu of notice, subject to the laws of the State of Florida.
We pay biweekly (Every other week) on Fridays. Pay is based on eighty standard hours per pay period and Sunday Cool has 26 pay periods/year.
Sunday Cool is a drug-free workplace. The company reserves the right to conduct drug testing on all employees. In the event of a workplace accident the impacted employee will be required to be tested for drugs.
